Major letdown!

DELHI 6 has fared way below expectations in the two major international markets. Given the tremendous hype for the film, plus the fact that UTV had gone all out to promote the movie, besides the fact that the film is the next offering from the maker of RANG DE BASANTI, one expected DELHI 6 to open to a smashing start.
Keeping in mind the fact that the film was released in as many as 90 screens in America, the film should've started with a bang. But it didn't. Sure, the film has crossed the half-a-million mark in three days, but it should've been close to a million in its opening weekend, frankly.
In U.K., DELHI 6 has met with a terrible fate. The film has had a disappointing start and looking at the numbers and also its screen average, it's evident that the film has been rejected there.
Weekend: February 20 - 22, 2009.
